BDO and Microsoft expand strategic alliance to drive business impact through digital excellence in the mid-market

Brussels, May 10, 2022: BDO and Microsoft announce an expanded strategic alliance in which both parties will collaborate to deliver solutions that create value for BDO customers around the world. The alliance has three objectives:

Creating value for BDO's mid-market clients by driving business impact through digital excellence
Leverage Microsoft Cloud to accelerate digital services for BDO firms and their advisors
Deliver the benefits of Microsoft Cloud to a broader audience
The increasing complexity of the business world and the challenges posed by today's geopolitical and environmental changes require a new and innovative approach to meeting the needs of businesses large and small. This three-year agreement will see BDO use Microsoft Azure, Microsoft 365 and Dynamics 365 to deliver an expanding range of innovative digital services and solutions to BDO clients around the world.

Backed by BDO's experience and expertise as a leader in the mid-market, the heart of most economies, BDO customers in 164 countries and territories and across all industries will be able to use Microsoft Cloud, Data and AI , Security and compliance offerings to drive digital transformation in your organizations. This will reach an estimated number of +775,000 customers over the next three years, allowing BDO to continue its commitment to addressing customer data protection and compliance needs. The application of AI and a growing range of cloud solutions and services from Microsoft will also enable BDO advisors to offer clients innovative solutions that will support them on their journey to achieve positive business and social impact. Additionally, BDO will leverage Microsoft's industry clouds, including clouds for sustainability, financial services, healthcare and retail, to provide customers with the industry-specific solutions and services they need to achieve business transformation and growth.

BDO has made significant investments in its own digital expertise and services in recent years to further its People Helping People approach, and the expanded collaboration with Microsoft will help further this purpose. BDO has already heavily implemented Microsoft Teams, increasing collaboration and improving productivity among BDO staff across all markets and disciplines. BDO advisors will be able to leverage the Microsoft Business Skills Initiative to enhance their technical skills, increase their knowledge of Microsoft solutions, and earn certifications, so they can help mid-market clients around the world realize digital transformation and add value for the customer in their markets.
