Chile is committed to achieving net zero emissions by 2050 or earlier, in line with the Paris Agreement. As a result, various public and private initiatives have been promoted to achieve this goal.
In recent years we have seen how sustainability, materiality, ESG and other terms are becoming increasingly important in the management of an organization. These ways of looking at organizations seek to enhance the creation of shared value and the satisfaction of all stakeholders.
As an example, in Chile the Financial Market Commission, CMF, in November 2021 published General Standard 461. This standard changes the information that regulated companies must present in their financial reports. The new regulation encourages the disclosure of environmental, social and governance (ESG) information and how companies are monitoring the risks and opportunities arising from climate change.
For this purpose, BDO has a team of professional experts in different areas of work that seek to promote sustainability at a global level.
Purpose:
Drive sustainability until it becomes a standard for organizations.
What sets us apart?
We are focused on supporting organizations to face the challenges coming from their different stakeholders and environment, with a work method focused on the specific needs of each client.
